Creating Stunning Self-Portraits

Objective: Style and Purpose

Vocabulary: self-portrait, perspective, appropriation, context, scale, camera angles (high angle, low angle, close up, etc.)

Key Assignment: After learning about self-portrait photography techniques, the students will take photos of themselves to use in the project.  They will edit the photos using Adobe Photoshop in different scenarios.  Students will have viewed examples of self-portraits by professional artists and photographers before they begin. Vocabulary: surrealism, self-portrait, perspective, appropriation, context, scale
